The tour will start at Rossio Square, where we will take a pleasant stroll through the square, admiring the beautiful architecture, the statue of Dom Pedro IV and where you will learn more about the historical relevance of the square.
From there, we will continue our journey to Baixa-Chiado, the vibrant commercial center of Lisbon, known for its elegant streets, charming cafes, and lively atmosphere.
The second hour of the tour will be spent at Terreiro do Paço, a historic square located on the banks of the Tagus River. From Baixa-Chiado, we will make our way towards the square, passing through picturesque streets and enjoying the scenic views along the way.
Next we'll head to Alfama, a charming neighborhood known for its narrow streets and traditional Fado music. We'll stroll through its charming alleys, enjoying the authentic atmosphere and admiring the breathtaking views of the city.
It's time for lunch in a typical restaurant. Delight in the flavors of one of the world's best-known gastronomies. You'll have the chance to explore some of the flavors of typical Portuguese cuisine and also get to know the much-loved Portuguese wines.
Right after the Lunch break we will head over to Belém and start there by visiting the Belém Tower (Torre de Belém), an iconic fortress that once guarded Lisbon's harbor, offering stunning views of the river and the city.
Next, we will make our way to the Discoveries Monument, a grand tribute to Portugal's explorers and their voyages of discovery, where you will learn more about Portugal's maritime heritage and its significant role in world exploration.
We will continue our journey through Belém's rich history with a visit to the Jerónimos Monastery. This UNESCO World Heritage site is a masterpiece of Manueline architecture, known for its intricate stone carvings and stunning cloisters.
